NOTE:
The Employment Cost Index (ECI) covers both wages and salaries and employer costs for employee benefits for all occupations and establishments in both the private nonfarm sector and state and local government. The ECI measures employers’ labor costs free from the influences of employment shifts among industries and occupations. The base period for all data is June 1989 when the ECI is 100.
