Step 4: Search for Jobs & Employers

Step 4 offers some tools and links that can help you search for Jobs and Potential Employers. You can use the Connecticut's Job Bank to search for a job, or the Potential Employer Search to browse through a list of potential employers based on criteria you specify. This tool will provide general information on over 140,000 Connecticut employers, including maps to their location.

The other sections in Step 4 such as Self Employment, Apprenticeship, and Job Search Links provide links for you to explore various job opportunities.

  • Self Employment provides some information on getting started in your own business. Find funding resources and learn about the licensing requirements for businesses in your field of interest.
  • Apprenticeship provides information about apprenticeships as pathways into employment in certain occupations.
  • Job Search Links are provided for popular Local, Federal, and National job search sites.
