Hours and Earnings: The March 2024 private sector workweek, not seasonally adjusted, averaged 33.4 hours. This is up five-tenths of an hour from the March 2023 average of 32.9 hours (1.5%) - a large annual advance. Average hourly earnings at $37.39 in March 2024, not seasonally adjusted, were up by $1.64 (4.6%) from the March 2023 estimate of $35.75.
