About TEPS
Training & Education Planning System
The Training and Education Planning System (TEPS3.0) is a tool designed to aid the analysis and discussion of the demand and potential supply of newly trained talent in Connecticut’s workforce. It is intended to help identify where there may be skill shortages or surpluses in the labor market, and thereby guide investments in education and training programs by program planners and administrators, as well as by individuals considering career options.
Occupation Title Search
The name or title of an occupation that identifies a person's principal business or work activity. Occupation is not the same as the name or title of a job, and may contain multiple job titles. Occupations are classified using the Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) taxonomy, a standard classification system used in social and economic statistical reporting programs, such as the Census or U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics programs.
Instructional Program Search
The name or title of an instructional program. Programs are classified using the Classification of Instructional Programs (CIP) taxonomy, which was developed by the U.S. Department of Education to support the accurate tracking, assessment, and reporting of fields of study and program completions activity.
Option 3
Keyword Hint: With keywords, "Less is More."
(Example: A search on econ will return more occupations or programs related to economist.)
